The Cinema bar will be open from 5pm Mon-Fri and 11am Saturday and Sunday. We have food, drinks and shelter in our amazing woodland bar so come down early and soak up the atmosphere. The cinema will be open at least 30 minutes before your show start time.
Won't it be freezing cold?
NO, it won't actually, well it might be outside, but not inside our INDOOR cosy cinema. That’s right we have built a beautiful indoor enchanted forest for you to watch your favourite movies. We have heaters and blankets but this is winter so we suggest you bring warm clothes, you can always take some off if you get hot then.
Can I bring my own food & drink?
Afraid not, although you will be delighted to know we have some amazing hot food on offer and a range of craft beers, mulled wine, cider, fresh popcorn, posh pick & mix popcorn and other exciting treats. You won’t need to bring a thing.
What kind of seating will be there?
Great big bean bag loungers & comfy sofas.
Is the seating allocated?
Seating is not allocated, it works on a first come first serve basis within your area. The two choices are Beanbags or Sofa seating. Don’t worry though with our massive screen and wicked sound system we have made sure each of our seats has a good view. If you are a large group, get in touch and we can reserve you an area to ensure you all sit together.
Does the bar stay open? I get thirsty.
I feel ya buddy, we are staying open throughout the movie and for a while after the screening - tis the season!
Can I smoke?
The cinema is a non smoking area. We do have a garden though which you can smoke in.
What happens if it rains?
It doesn't matter, we are indoors! Woo!

All tickets need to be pre-purchased online from our website. Our ticket provider ticketscript will then allow you to choose between an online printable ticket or a mobile version of your ticket. Keep this safe and bring it with you to exchange at the box office when you arrive, there will be information about this on your actual ticket.

What time does the film start?
You need to check your ticket and the site for your movie start time as we have lots of different shows this Christmas. The cinema seating area will be open for you at least 30 minutes before your film starts and the bar will be open long before your film so come on down, grab a drink, some food and soak up the festive cheer.
I need to get home at some point, when will it all be finished?
The whole of Winterville closes at 10:30pm most nights so you will be out before then depending on the running time of your film. Plenty of time to get home on a school night.
Can I come before the film?
Absolutely! The bar will be flowing, food sizzling and music blasting. There is so much going on in Winterville too, it’s well worth making a full evening of it so come down from 5pm weekdays and 11am on weekends!
Is there a dress code?
As much as we would love to see you all in black tie, we have no enforced dress code. However it does get pretty chilly out in Victoria Park. Less so inside our lovely heated INDOOR cinema but bring a hat, scarf, gloves and of course your signature Christmas jumper!
Can I get a refund?
I am afraid we do not offer refunds on ticket purchases. You are able to give your ticket to a friend to attend if you can no longer make it. They would probably like that.
Can I bring my kids with me?
This season we have a whole host of shows aimed at kids and families. We offer kids tickets at £8 for under 12s and have geared our matinee shows for families not just kids. All children will need to be accompanied throughout the film, I am afraid you can’t just drop them off with us but bring the whole family, it’s going to be amazing watching kids go through the secret entrance to the cinema and watch some of the films you grew up with.
Is there disabled access?
We are pleased to say that yes, there is disabled access. It may be easier if you inform us before the show via email and we can get some aisle seats reserved for you and our Usherettes can be on hand to help seat you guys down and to make sure everyone can enter and exit safely .
What is the difference between the tickets?
We have our famous packages on offer again which goes as follows.
Standard - Just the movie
Thirsty - The movie and choice of drink, including beer, wine, cider or soft drink.
Full Monty - The movie, A drink & food from our amazing food partner.
The Red Carpet - This is for two people and comes with everything you need to make the night special. Movie, food from our food partner, a bottle of Prosecco, popcorn, ice cream and blankets to snuggle under together.
How do I get my food & drink when I arrive with these tickets?
There will be a Backyard Cinema Box office outside the bar area, you need to exchange your printed or mobile ticket there for your Backyard Cinema ticket and drink voucher to be used at the bar. Once these have been swapped for you, it’s over to you to use them at the bar and keep them safe.
